Hired

 I went on a job interview 2 weeks ago.  I knew I had the interview in the bag.  After the interview, I had to do the practical part, which is massaging the hiring manager.  Aside from a few years ago, when my lotion pump stopped working during mid-massage and my then-future boss, this was one of the shortest massages I had to do for a practical.  She just wanted 25 minutes on her back, mainly a softer to medium pressure massage.

I did a Swedish with inflections of Lomi Lomi over her back.  After the massage, she told me that was amazing and before I left, she would love to have me meet with HR before the HR person leaves.  That would normally be done on a different day, but she really wanted me on the schedule as soon as possible.

So, I met up with HR and that went fantastically.  I had to fill out some consent forms for a federal background check.  Of course, after a few days, it came up clean.  I have never been in trouble in my life.

Anyway, my first day begins on March 14, 2022.  I'm excited.  I will be learning the spa's signature massage as well as filling out my W-2s before I actually get started.  I'm so happy to be earning a paycheck again.  I have been out of work since the end of January 2022.

Massage at My Home

I whipped up this set-up real quickly.

I really had to contemplate if massaging at my home was something I wanted to do.  I really didn't want to bring people to my home, but one of my friends and former coworker was needing a massage.  His back was in pain as he works for a major delivery/warehouse company, loading and unloading trucks.

I talked to my husband about it, and my husband is all about hustle, so he was like, "Yes, you should do the massage."  So, I caved.

I set the massage table up for a massage.  The perks about working on one person with nobody behind them on schedule is I don't have to watch the clock.  I can get into my zone as well as really focus on the trouble areas.

After about an hour and half massage, he hung out with me for quite a few hours and we watched television and talked about our former coworkers, as we both left the place we used to work at.
