Asking for Discounts and Freebies

I feel like this, when folks ask me for discounts and freebies where I work, you're basically saying I'm not worth the shirt on my back. 

If you did not realize it, I work "for a living," and I also pay for the rental of my room, the sheets I use, the oil I use, the gas to get to work, the clothing I wear to work and have to replace often due to oil stains, and if you use a credit card, I pay for that too.

 
If you want a discount, hire me to come to your house and we'll talk. (of course, this is an anonymous page, so this is just a rant)

I would NEVER ask you to "hook me up" with a discount. NEVER. I have some kind of pride.
